Restaurant bewertenThe market was just ending and it was about 1:00 pm on a Sunday afternoon . Had I read the reviews I might never have sat down . However I seen a couple tables with food and it looked very good . Spaghetti alla Norma eggplant) and a bottle of Morelli beer . The place was very busy and a little wait was understood because it was lunch . It was a huge portion of spaghetti for only 7euros . Beer was 3euros and coperto was 1.5 euro . Total bill was 11.50 euro which I feel was very reasonable. I don’t know where someone comes up with tourist trap . The tables and silverware was very clean . I have never minded paying coperto because it is expected in Italy . Don’t base this place with a couple bad reviews . No it’s not a exceptional place with linen napkins and real silverware but for 11 euros it’s very respectful.
When we missed the noon Palazzo Conte Federico tour (because we couldn't easily locate the building), we stopped here for arancina (saffroned rice balls, filled with meat) and Sicilian wine. What could be better!
The worst place I have been in my 3 weeks in Italy, bad service, not much food and 10% service charge for bad service. You cannot pay with credit card and they don't say it. It is a tourist trap in the market
Mediocre food and £5 service charge for a plate of pasta each. Really impolite staff and just a tourist trap
Food was a joke. I don't even know if it was Italian. Pasta with cream and seafood, and pesto, and pistachios... Seems like a big let's fool some tourists. In addition they charged per seat but also added 10% service charge automatically to the bill. In our case, 4 adults+2 young kids, that added 20 euro to the bill. We complained at how this is illegal, so they pretended they don't speak English, and returned us 3 Euro for the kids.... Stay away.
