My Thai Restaurant - Padbury

I wanted something spicy and I ordered dinner to be delivered. These people actually read the order and my Tom Yum was exactly how I wanted it…. VERY SPICY! Many restaurants either ignore that request or don’t take it seriously. Not here . That alone is enough for me to love the place.

I always go in and order my favorite larb guy. It's sensational every time. Always nice and hot like I like it with beautiful fresh ingredients prompt and warm service. This week was no exception.

Went on Saturday night, party of 4, restaurant filled up quite quickly but noise levels were acceptable and didn't need to shout to be heard. Table and chairs were comfortable and the settings were equal to a higher priced establishment. Service was very good and enjoyed the dishes that we ordered. Would certainly go back again.

I do not understand the reviews posted to date... the food in this restaurant resembles supermarket sauces from a bottle! Our dishes contained little substance I.E. the Red Duck Curry was lucky if it has two miniscule peices of duck in a sauce that was not authentic at all. The Green Chicken Curry was not much better either, insipid sauce and to finish off the Thai fried rice dish was gluggy again with little content, I need not to say anymore.

I have ordered takeout from My Thai several times and all the meals have been fantastic and delicious. If they continue at this level, I will definitely be ordering more dishes. The chicken satay was tender and all the other dishes, such as curry puffs and curries, were also very good. - Jacqui
