Restaurant bewertenMy friends and I visited this restaurant on Saturday during our stay at a nearby rented house. The exterior looked charming. However, the waitress who attended to us was extremely sullen, miserable, and rude. Her attitude made us feel uncomfortable and hesitant to ask for anything more, fearing we would be snapped at or scolded again. This unpleasant experience discouraged us from returning to the restaurant. The following day, we dined at Gail's where the staff were delightful. Initially, I thought we just caught the waitress on a bad day, but after reading other reviews, it seems this is a common issue at the restaurant.
Wide selection of quality sandwiches and some sweets. Very nice staff eager to serve and please. Veggie samosa was just okay though; recommend sandwich or salad instead.
Taylors has has shops in Oxford for 20 years, the ST. Giles and Gloucester Green stores were some of the first and now there are more, all serving up sandwiches, coffee and cold drinks with some sweet bites. Its simple but delicious fair. Super hint: know what you want before you go in, and tell them what you want, that way you get less questions and life is easier for all...Extra super hint: go eat elsewhere as it can get hot inside... by the river is perfect and not so crowded...the botanical gardens are recommended.
Plenty of options for sandwiches, salads, drink and coffee, take way or eat in, got sandwiche but was more juicy than I thought difficult to handle, anyway ok
Fantastic choices of sandwich fillings and lovely food items. Will return when next in the city and staff were competent.
