Just ordered online for pickup. Great service friendly family business. Very good quality fish well put together take out boxes. environmentally friendly. Great taste to halibut and fries. Will definitely go again. Thank you

I've gone multiple times to this restaurant and everytime I go they forget something in my take out order. Tonight I ordered 3 large fries and only got one and none of the gravy I paid extra for.

Captain John's Fish Chips Owen Sound, ordered and paid for $30.00 worth of food, plus asked for 2 coffees extra while we wait, we were sitting at the table and manager comes over and says we can't sit at the table its for paying costumers, and hands us 2 Styrofoam cups we where suppose to put our coffees in, I said we are paying customers we bought 2 coffees plus $30.00 in food to go!, we asked for our money back and they said NO, so Kevin Just walked out leaving our $30.00 and food there, LAST TIME WE GO THERE, hope all see, call and complain at Captain Johns at 519-376-4903

This place is now closed. It is replaced by Sail restaurant and catering. Must try that restaurant. Food is really good.

We were really looking forward to Fish and Chips tonight and oh did that change quickly. We each ordered the 2 piece Cod and chips which was the special $11.50 each and was going to make it the dinner but they did not have any buns,but I did add 1 coleslaw, unfortunately when we started to eat,it was greasy and there was a taste to the fish batter as if the grease had not been changed recently. Our fries were under cooked along with the under cooked battered mushrooms. I really like that fresh piece of Lemon to squeeze on the fish but recieved packaged lemon juice and the tarter sauce was from a package as well. The Coleslaw was tasty and the fish it self was good it was just the batter. The service was very nice the lady behind the counter was very friendly and helpful. The restaurant was clean with nice table tops,wooden benches have seen better days and should be replaced. Not sure if we will return after this experience.
