Ye Olde Boote Inn - Oswestry

After our snack, we chose a spot at the bar and ventured into our room. Room 5 was gorgeous, with a view of the castle and its moat. It was spotlessly clean and stocked with plenty of tea, coffee, and biscuits. When it was time for dinner, I noticed the Sunday dinners being served; they looked fantastic, but I couldn't eat that much. I opted for fish and chips with mushy peas, while my companion chose the scampi. We thoroughly enjoyed our meals and finished off with apple cake and custard, along with some cheese and cookies. We had a lovely evening and a comfortable night’s sleep in a cozy bed, followed by a hearty full English breakfast (the sausages were delicious!). The staff was superb—nothing was too much trouble. Brand, the landlord, made us feel incredibly welcome from the moment we arrived. We highly recommend Old Boots Inn to anyone looking for great value, excellent service, and wonderful hospitality. We will definitely return and hope to see you there! x

This place is a hidden gem! Under new management, we were warmly welcomed by Brand and his team from the moment we arrived. The food was absolutely delicious, and the rooms were stunning, complete with views of the castle. The beds were incredibly comfortable. We had a wonderful stay here and highly recommend it. Brand and his staff worked incredibly hard after recently taking over the pub, and we truly appreciate their efforts. We highly recommend paying a visit. Thank you for a lovely stay!

Beautiful location in whittington, opposite a duck and medieval burgruinen. good parking for cars. excellent food for breakfast and dinner. due to the old parts of the building, the bedroom was not entirely according to modern standards, otherwise would earn five stars.

Where do I start......... super friendly staff where nothing is too much of a problem! the food; well OMG, my wife had Liver, mash and gravy (it took her back to childhood), my children had Gammon, egg and chips, what a healthy portion. I had the Pie chips and gravy, the Pie was like a door wedge, which fell apart in my mouth. We stayed over we stayed at the front of the pub, the room was quiet with comfortable beds. downstairs in the pub, lovely setting, I would love to return in the winter with the log fires on. cracking pint of Guinness with a good local community feel.

Friendly service, good selection of food which was very tasty. I understand the menu is changing so we will be back to sample the new menu. Thanks
