Restaurant bewertenThank God Mosaic employees told me about your Restaurant. For a year I was taking my disabled sons to the Casino buffet and it was some of the worst food imaginable. A week ago I was told about Family Table and took my son there today. He is a Down man and low functioning, he was Welcomed with a Smile (Thank You). I ordered him the Nacho Plate.........OMG! it was a Platter, heaped with 3 or 4 kinds of nacho chips, then loaded with ground beef, chopped olives, jalapeno peppers and covered in melted cheese, there was probably more ingredients but he didn 't give me a chance to see them, it came with a bowl of delicious salsa and a bowl of sour cream. I am not a big eater so I ordered poached eggs, wheat toast and an order of fries (they serve eggs etc. ALL day). Lordy the fries came in a basket (a meal by themselves) they were hot, crispy and perfect, the poached were just how I like them. Our waitress was a Princess, a younger woman who made our visit Special.
I was here about 5 years ago and thought it was decent at the time. this time is completely different. I traveled thru and spent the night in a beautiful local motel and came to the breakfast before I met the road. it was hard to give even 2 stars. they had an breakfast buffet for $12 and pointed out. I traveled a lot and stay in many hotels that offer breakfast and I had better in a hotel than here. it wasn't worth the money. bacon was cooked, sausages didn't even look like they were cooked. Apart from the ice-cold bakery, I guess that either chef mike cooked most meals or it was built and frozen before the time. pretty much everything was cold, like it came out of the refrigerator.
You are missing out if you don't stop and eat here. The food is sooooooo good. Get the cinnamon roll, it's gigantic and amazing. I got the chicken fried skillet, so good. They seasoned the potatoes perfectly. Please stop here. Best breakfast/food stop. Best French toast I ever had.
If you visit at a busy time, expect to wait for a table. Just know that it's worth the wait! We had the breakfast buffet, and it was very much worth the price. I love that everyone knew each other, and tables were stopping by other tables for a hug or a chat. Very happy atmosphere.
Comparing the food to Texas. I got a chicken sandwich plain, but then came with cheese on it. We had to ask for refills after the cup of water got empty. The coffee was very weak. The tenderloin was really thin. Best thing they knew how to cook was curly fries.
