Restaurant bewertenWhen you drive into Orange Highland Heritage, you will find the first major vineyard in the area that is definitely worth a visit to their cellar door. It's open seven days a week, which is quite rare. The on-site restaurant is great as well. Not many vineyards can claim to have both a good restaurant and an excellent cellar door.
I've had High Tea here before but not with children. We went for a Mother's Day treat and it honestly could not have been better. Complimentary Mumm champagne, plenty of space for a pram and high chair, delicious food, and my 6 and 8 yo boys were well catered for with a separate, but just as decadent, high tea platter all for themselves. The fairy bed in the shape of a fairy was a winner, as well as the mini lemon tarts and brownies. Everything was absolutely beautiful and we were made to feel very welcome. There is a kids toy box and plenty of space for kids to play, as well as soft lawn out the back near the vines. Spectacular scenery, delicious food, and made to feel special and welcome - winning combination High Land Heritage -thanks for making my Mother's Day even more wonderful :-)
We were in a tour group (Probus) of over 40 people, the Estate looked after us withefficiency and friendliness. We were given a delightful lunch of home bakedpies (chicken or beef) and tea and coffee. After lunch we were given a generouswine tasting.
I visited this restaurant for a wine tasting and was able to try some fantastic wines. The staff member who conducted the tasting was very knowledgeable and I would definitely recommend this winery for anyone looking for a tasting experience. The view from the establishment is also quite lovely.
Location was lovely but the restaurant is a bit dated. Service and food were both excellent. Good menu and excellent local wines.
