You need to try this place the food is so good. All the fish tastes fresh and the portions are big. The ceviche and the seafood tower and also the garlic octopus have all been great. So many sauces and so many really spicy ones. Beware the margaritas are so strong and so good.
El Limon is easy to overlook, as its tucked away in the Yard complex on McCullough, but its worth finding. A smaller restaurant which offers fresh Mexican style Seafood such as ceviche and shrimp quesadillas. I've been numerous times and always enjoy my meal thoroughly. I usually order the House special tostada, which is a deluxe ceviche with fish, shrimp, and octopus. My guest almost always orders the shrimp quesadilla. Everything on the menu I've tried has been so tasty. They have one of the best guacamole I've had here, and I end up ordering their toasted bread as well. They offer a full bar and make great margaritas, and the michaladas are not great, they're huge!
Good food watch out for the beer tax, they show a price for Ultra at $3.90 but don't say anything about the .30 cent beer tax add-on. I know other places in San Antonio, Texas that have $2.25 per beer.
This place is quirky and great. The homemade salsas are extremely spicy, but in the best possible way. They have a flavor that I had not had before that I really enjoyed. I've been there twice now and both times were great experiences. The seafood is great. Also, worth noting... The frozen margaritas are the strongest drinks I have ever had... I had two and was absolutely trashed (that is unlike me). All in, it was a fantastic time. I highly recommend.
