Parthenon Diner-old Saybrook

Food was lukewarm and home fries tasted sour. Server never stopped by table to ask how anything was. He had the personality of a brick wall. He got our drink order wrong and seemed irritated when we corrected it. He didn?t really ever speak to us at all. He walked up to the table, took out his order pad and stood there until I told him the order. Then when he came back with coffee he didn?t ask if I wanted more he just stood there until I told him I would like more. That was my 1st time there and will definitely be my last.

Food is adequate. Fixed price breakfast and lunch are reasonable BUT you have to check the actual bill, seems the clever cash register charges (60% more than menu and decides the inclusive drink is now extra and it keeps the pennies in any change due.

Delicious breakfast with plentiful food! Everyone's plates I saw (customers) also were amazing plates full of waffles, eggs or omelets!! ?

Food never disappoints at Parthenon! Although not super busy, service was not so big....and after we got our food, nothing from the waitress...what ever happened, how everything is, I can give you something else... last couple of times to eat, no word from the server! Also be careful because they charge a fee for English muffin upgrades that is not listed.... why did the waitress not say there was a charge?......... I insult that and the tip will reflect your service skills!

This place is a treasure. We visited and randomly chose a place for breakfast. 1950s authentic diner check! Eat delicious! Coffee was hot and delicious, constantly refilled by our server. Must see!
