Restaurant bewertenAbsolutely nothing vegan except French pommes. small part for $6
We spent over $60 on food for two people, and were so disappointed, the smallest portions not even enough to feed a person! also eating was not good. good vegan foods to find while traveling is difficult enough, and this place was a complete disappointment. also they were $1.50 short on my change! buyers foreseeable! there are some good vegan restaurants in puerto rico. that is not one of them.
Mojito is a modern restaurant with Caribbean fusion and local foods with many vegan options, including tacos and grilled vegetables with plantains. the personal is friendly and competent about the food. they also have a great choice of weeping and beer.
Most of the staff were friendly, but service was slow due to the busy NYE night. Some tables waited 35-40 minutes for their appetizers before us. The food arrived relatively quickly for us, but the drinks took some time. The staff appeared overwhelmed, so we understood the delay. Unfortunately, the lobster salad I ordered was inedible and came with dressing despite my request for it on the side. The lobster was overcooked and unpleasant, so I had to send it back. Although offered a replacement dish, I opted to share the overcooked paella. The salad was removed from our bill, but a 20% gratuity was added for 2 diners, which the server claimed was standard for NYE. Though skeptical, we didn't want to cause a scene and just paid the bill of nearly $200 for the two of us. Perhaps the food and service are better on non-holiday nights.
The staff were friendly and the atmosphere was ok aside from the table next to us spraying bug spray on them while we were eating... We were there on a Thursday evening and they were out of half the menu and then what they did have was not prepared as the menu showed. I had the bam bam shrimp (they were out of coconut shrimp)which was just ok and a grilled chicken breast cooked to death with salad(they were out of Mahi Mahi). My food tasted like it was frozen and then thrown in the microwave. I will say the red sangria was one of the best I have had. I don’t mind paying for good food but I’m sorry $68 for the 3 items I had was ridiculous. Disappointed.
