Restaurant bewertenYou have to eat in Gun Izakaya in Paseo! They wait one hour to two hours. It's worth it! We tried everything and everything LOVED. The chicken wings were my favorite the hot chicken is hot and the fried catfish is delish! Get the dumplings. Pig meat and crabs are delicious and I'm not an eggplant fan, but the eggplant flowers are delish. Save space for the Okinawan Donuts. The terrace is nice while you wait. If you like cocktails, the six samurai were the favorite. Hands down the most fun food experience I had in a long time. Protected Izakaya
I wanted to come in here for a while and finally had the opportunity a few nights ago. Let's get in. My group made a reservation, but at night we went (weekly night, mid-week) it didn't really seem that we needed it. Never can be too careful. The atmosphere is very hip, a mural tastes the northwest wall, and if you are familiar with The Ramen Girl in another place, you will immediately have a sense of familiarity. The music strikes, but not so loud that you have to hear from a companion. As regards staff, our waiter went through the menu and made solid recommendations. The food is yakitori and yakemono style. Street food you would basically buy in a stable. The portions are SUPER small. Be ready to buy 3 to 4 to get full. It's almost counterfeit, but the snack menu had larger portion sizes. We also share an app with Pickles, Mustard greens and some kimchi that actually works as a solid pallet cleaner between courses. For both of us, the price was fixed, but we're two hungry guys. If you fly solo, it's pretty reasonable. I'm definitely back, and next time I'll save space for dessert.
Such a great time and experience! It was a little pricey and we ended up seated right by the door, however Jason was absolutely fantastic. He was knowledgeable and just made the night. It was so unique and just a really good time.
I really enjoyed Gun when I went. Having a legit yakitori small plates place is great. He interior has a great modern vibe, good music and great decor. They have house made cocktails which have some unique flavours combined, and they also have a true whiskey highball machine. We enjoyed all the food we had, but it IS a bit overpriced for what you’re getting. Our favorite was probably the pork belly, it was melt in your mouth! I also really enjoyed the matcha donuts. I would love to come back, but it’s also hard when you have to drop a decent amount of money to really enjoy yourself. (Sorry for the terrible photos, my camera was not cooperating with the lighting!
Food was amazing. Hot chicken and chicken skins were killer. Udon noodles were wonderful as well. Very loud inside! Like obtrusive loud.
