Restaurant bewertenExcellent small coffee shop embedded in a residential area in Ocracoke. Opens at 7 and people are already dressed for their daily latte. I had the dark roast coffee (alone, I don't drink all the fancy coffee mixes) that was perfect. Staff busy but fast to take your order. Beautiful selection of breakfast pastries that are fresh. Smooth for your uncaffeinated moments. Pleny of seating areas inside and outside. Easy to find, follow the signs of Irvin Garrish Hwy. Very recommended.
Great spot with decent coffee and espresso, kids enjoy their smoothies and bagels!
We have been coming to Ocracoke every year for the last decade, and one of the highlights of our mornings has always been a visit to this coffee shop. It used to be the perfect start to the day, but sadly, the atmosphere has steadily declined, particularly this year. There's one individual, who I believe is a part-owner (man with long hair and a beard), who has been consistently rude to both myself and other customers during my visits this year. He seems utterly disinterested in his job, and unfortunately, that attitude is evident in the overall customer experience. He ignores customers until they’re visibly frustrated, then reluctantly takes orders without making eye contact or offering any courtesy. Orders are shoved at you with a clear lack of care, and there’s no acknowledgment or appreciation for returning customers. If I wanted to be treated this poorly, I would have stayed in the Northeast. It’s disappointing because this coffee shop has always been a significant part of my beach experience, but after this year, I won’t be coming back. I’ll also be advising my friends, who frequent the island, to avoid wasting their time or money here. It’s a shame to see how the branding and reputation have been tarnished by such poor treatment of customers, and I imagine they’ll have a hard time recovering from this especially if they want to sell.
Extremely disappointing on how the man with the salt pepper beard ignores and poorly treats the tourists. He prefers to drink his drink, walk around behind the counter all acts to prevent helping and welcoming the next customer in line and take the order. He is rude and at the end of the customers transaction, he refuses to thank the customer for the business. He touches his nose and doesn’t wash his hands; doesn’t wear gloves after handling cash; remarkable that customers are not ill. I won’t be back and advise others to reconsider. Total lack of customer service, it’s strange how tourists put up with his rudeness. The energy of the employees is a reflection of how the guy with the dark hair and salt pepper beard is negative and rude. If you are a local he treats you with semi decent attitude. OCC is a thumbs down of disappointment. Don’t drop your money in this place. There are other coffee places on the island that appreciate the business tourists bring.
The almond milk was chunky and yogurt was sour. Went to ask about it and the guy with the ponytail wanted to be a prick about it.
