Restaurant bewertenWe came here because it was close to our hotel and we were not disappointed! the bibimbap and ramyeon were sooo tasty! if they enjoy spicy, ask the waitress for picante extra, and they will make the ramyeon more spicy for them! I've blown every one of them. kimchi was tasty to recommend this place!
After traveling around the state of oaxaca and having eaten locally, my partner and I were ready for some Asian foods (our favorites). it would be fair to say that we have tried many different places in the usa and in the country in the course of the years. the food and service here were excellent! from the drinks, the appetizers, escape and gloomy, we loved it and ate until we could no longer. her kimchi is a family recipe and was top knots! In addition, the restaurant had a refreshing atmosphere with K-pop music and posters on the wall.
I know it's not easy to get Korean ingredients in Oaxca but I know for sure their kimchi is slightly catered to a Mexican palate, which is too tangy to my liking as an Asian. I wish the kimchi is more spicy. The menu is very simple. My husband ordered the Ramyeon which we know in South Korea it's from the instant ramyeon package and added with veggies and egg. The only minus is the cook stirred the egg so the egg was too overcooked not poach soft egg like the one what we like for our ramyeon. I ordered kimchijeon. Not the best kimchijeon I've ever had but again this is in Oaxaca we're talking so we give the points for the efforts.
The restaurant is quite small so I ordered takeout and was highly disappointed. It's Oaxaca so I didn't have high expectations but was still excited to eat my favorite cuisine. First visit ordered: multi layered cake mushy layers of dough with vanilla pudding and store bought chocolate sauce that had a plastic taste. The next visit, I saw the big plastic messy jar of chocolate sauce used in the pastries. Didn't taste fresh! Bulgogui (Bulgogi) – just ok, basically a plain meat stir fry with random onions and soft carrot slices plus a ½ teaspoon of Gochujang to give it some type of flavor. Hotcake de Kimchi (Korean pancake) – blah. Not good, where’s the kimchi?? A month later, I decided to give Dururu another chance. Second visit ordered: Korean BBQ para compatir (Korean BBQ for 2) the only accompaniments were tiny pots of watery kimchi (again, chopped in a strange fashion and n o t good at all) and unappetizing chopped onions. No pickled radish. Why? The even smaller dab of Gochujang was watered down too. The meat was fatty, weirdly chopped, and not barbecued. Grilled meat is supposed to be a specialty in Oaxaca too! AND they charged me extra for takeout containers. Get your business model together. Final thoughts: I understand running a restaurant is expensive but the entire menu is overpriced and watered down for what you get, especially since the only real ingredient which is not locally sourced is the Gochujang red pepper paste. They’re really trying to stretch a peso. Don’t eat here.
Nice atmosphere, friendly staff, good service, delicious food, great value! I highly recommend this place! I got the kimchi jeon which was really good, especially the egg on top was perfect! Next time I want to try the desserts! 감사합니다!!
