China Chopsticks - Oakville

Had the lunch special, just $6.95, a real deal for a sitdown plate lunch. They offer a lot of choices, the chicken curry was good with plenty of vegetables. Pleasant service, no high pressure. Good for a quick meal that will not cost too much.

This is our go to place for Chinese food fix. Mooshoo is delicious, everyrhing else we've tried has been excellent. We always get take out. Very friendly service.

I must start by saying that China Chopsticks is our usual location we go to in Oakville for Chinese Food and always get it from them on New Years Eve. The service and quality is usually very good.Unfortunately this New Years Eve was not a good experience. We ordered at 5:25 PM and were told we could pick up the order in 30 minutes. I arrived at the restaurant at ~6 PM to find a group of about 30 people also waiting to pick up their orders.I joined the line to make my way to the counter to pay for the order which took about 30 minutes and then stood off to the side with others to wait for my phone number to be called. Everyone else had the same story of an incredible wait with some placing their orders mid afternoon for a requested pick up of 6 PM etc. While we were all waiting, they continued to take orders on the phone telling the customers that it would be ready in 30-40 minutes.I finally got my order at 7:45 PM, over 2 hours and 15 minutes after ordering. Unfortunately the staff were stressed and not well prepared or organized for the New Years Eve rush and volume.In the end the food was good and the experience bad.

The lunch specials are well worth the money.The portion is huge, it's a good idea to share so no food is wasted.The servers are very friendly but as the majority of the people take out, I suppose they don't receive much in the way of gratuity, which is a pity.

A great basic chinese joint with good chicken wings and the ususal classics. very friendly staff and owners.
