Restaurant bewertenWhen they go there order the nachos they are made out of their home kartoffel chips with a soak that it fantastic we order our with huh. the best I ever tasted great salsa too. that was just the appetizer, the burgers were also from this world and the staff was friendly and attentive.
Ordered the NY steak, came out a perfect medium, delish... however , the side of veggies were over cooked mush.. mashed potatoes had a good seasoning, but a little dry, so got some gravy, and all was good. Staff was super friendly.. I'll go again, the sandwiches and burgers coming out for other tables looked really good.
Not big on breakfast, but the breakfast there was great. Very chill atmosphere. Stopped by while my room at a nearby hotel was ready. Kinda tucked away. Almost missed it, glad I didn't. Definitely be back next time I'm in The O.
First of all, I have to say that were I not starving and also a fan of salt flavor, Jolly Roger's would've seriously been a fail. Their diner food is REALLY salty. Everything is really salty- the chicken, the sauces, the sides, the soups, and the dressings. Only my water wasn't salty, and I drank soooo many cups of that haha . Their dinner plate portions are really hearty, and I love that they make so much of their food in-house homemade tortilla chips in my chicken tortilla soup, for example . I ordered a chicken tortilla soup tasted okay, but kinda small and a country fried steak dinner. My soup portion was pretty tiny compared to my dinner plate. Anyhow, the flavors of their food are SO STRONG because of that sodium content, that if you're an average healthy person, you ultimately walk away feeling bloated and a bit sick. Not particularly affordable a place to eat, either. Plus the windows aren't that well-insulated, so we were shivering throughout our meal from the chilly outside. : Staff was REALLY nice, though. I really have to give them credit for that. Love these people. :
Service is good and the place is very clean. Although I don't like their country fried chicken. It was a bit salty and all I tasted was breading.
