Restaurant bewertenA great place with a great mission! cat town saves cats that are considered unacceptable and otherwise are set down, and tries to find them the right game. some cats are really shy, or a little more aggressive, but they will help them find a cat or a few cats that suits them best. they enter the coffee bar next to cat town. it's simple, but good. I love their cold brew! many cool merch and cat toys available to buy also my cats love the magic sticks they sell that only a little colorful plasticity feeler come out of it. there is a board when they go into the actual cat zone that tells them which cats are available for adoption and the volunteers or employees can give them the dl on each cat. you cannot pick up the cats, but you can sit on one of the chairs, benches or on the floor and let the cat come to you! I think the cats are less frightened and more ready to leave them, when they sit on the floor with them. there are many toys to try to play cats, and there is a donator in the cats-condo area where they can buy tasty to feed the kitties. the $10 fee is to keep the place, the rental is not free! for this they get an hour to play around in the main cat zone and check the cats in the next room. I would say the best time to go would be either if they first open or close closer. cats need a lot of sleep to stay healthy, so if they go on the afternoon, many cats will probably sniff. every time I was there were many nearby parking options. I might have just had to walk around the block, but I didn't see it as a long walk. in any case a cool place to check whether they are interested in taking a cat, or even if they have guests from the city and want to take them somewhere unique!
We had an amazing time playing and interacting with the kitties!
We came to pet sweet kitties and that’s exactly what we did. We stayed a bit in the main room and got some good play time in before moving back to the individual studios. The volunteers were so friendly and were able to tells us about each cat and whether they were okay being pet or if they wanted to be left alone. If you like petting cats, this is the place for you. Also a super cute little merch corner with some awesome shirts, pins, cat toys, and a bit more.
Such a wonderful experience. The fury cuties give as much love as you give.
Update: they got back to me and helped work things out.Overall, I love that there is a place like this to help cats. However, the main reason I have to give it two stars is because they gave me a cat with worms. When I tried to reach out about it no one got back to me. I was told that someone would and that was a couple of months ago. They gave me medical records and it said nothing about worms or treatment. Thankfully she is better after a trip to the vet but that was a trip I wasn’t aware I had to take.I would just encourage future adopters to ask thorough questions. Especially about your future cat’s health. I’m also annoyed because I didn’t figure out the poor thing had worms until about three weeks after. My poor baby wasn’t gaining weight! Also, they were not clear about just how traumatized she was. She was way more than just a little shy. She strait up was living in fear of everything! It’s been three months and it took that long for her to feel comfortable enough to lie on the bed with me and my other cat. She’s definitely doing much better and I’m happy to be patient with her for as long as she needs, but again, the disrespect of not being up front about the true condition of these cats is not helpful at all.So just know that “a little shy” might actually mean, extremely traumatized and prepare for a hard 3 months and counting. Last thing, she also didn’t know how to use the litter box properly so that was a fun first week too. However, that’s how I found out about the worms…so it worked out.
