Red Lobster - Oakdale

We enjoyed the food after the long work. The Clam Chowder was always great!

My husband and I are not people with seafood or chain restaurants, but something about Red Lobster keeps us back. The steak is probably the best I ever had in a restaurant and the pasta is also great, not to mention the cookies! This location always had a great service. Never overcrowded, but it does not feel abandoned either.

The staff did a great job when we were there. The food was just as ordered, the wait was no longer than expected, and none of us had something negative to say about the experience. While there is no outdoor area, there is an outdoor ward area that is beautiful when they are overcrowded, or you want fresh air, or have a mysterious child who does not want to sit still.

We haven't been in Red Lobster for some time, but decided to stop with my son after his football practice because he wanted to try a new kind of food. He finished the order of popcorn shrimps and thought it was quite good (definitely the best way to facilitate it in the attempt of seafood Lol). I had the Salmon New Orleans, which was much better than I expected, I definitely recommend trying. Overall, the experience was good. However, the service was extremely slow, although it was not so busy. Also, the cookies came from type of cold and not as tasteful as I remember being them. However, we will be back in a year or so.

Since you asked why 3 stars: We sat quickly for lunch at Oakdale MN and ordered an appetizer, 3 entrees and 2 children's meals. All sides were small handpieces. My wife's salad was served without crumbs, and the server said they were out. How can that be? No bread, butter and garlic salt in the kitchen? Anyway, the ginger dressing for her fish was also outside, so it was also served without it. My $41 per pound crab legs were so hard to eat, partly because the bowls were so soft from overcooking, but also because the crabs were so puny. They were served Luke-warm. To finish it half an hour later, I was indisposed for half an hour? I'd expect more and better for $150. You asked me why 3 stars and after I took the time to write it, I realized that three stars were too generous.
