The Homestead Barr - Oak Lawn

A typical neighborhood bar offering cold beer and friendly bartenders.

My girlfriend and I went for a drink and ended up staying for a few hours. We love dive bars, but this one was really nice. The service was excellent, and the atmosphere was great. I can’t wait to go back!

Homestead Barr is the top spot in town! The atmosphere is welcoming, the prices are great, and the bartenders are the best around!

I truly love this historic tavern. The service is top-notch, and the patrons are very friendly as well. The patio is a lovely spot to relax outdoors, and the yard offers ample seating for larger groups. They also provide free horseshoe pits, and if the weather isn't quite right, there's shuffleboard available indoors, also at no cost.

This review is more for off hours at the bar. I know it can get crowded at times and a bit tight but I usually stop in the afternoon or right around dinner, and bartender always is on point, and is always a comfortable place.
