Restaurant bewertenI absolutely adored this charming restaurant! I first tried it in Bath and had a wonderful meal with my friends, so we decided to visit the same restaurant in Nottingham for their chili oil prawns and bread, which were just as delicious as the fish and chips we had previously. The staff were friendly and helpful, and we were grateful for their assistance when we were lost and hungry during a university trip in Bath.
There are better fine dining restaurants to be found elsewhere. In short, it is not as good as those in Bath. When I visited, the prawns were overcooked and lacked flavor. The aromas were interesting and the food presentation could have been improved. Additionally, the restroom is located down a steep staircase and there was a lingering unpleasant smell in the corridor upon leaving. Considering the high prices, the overall dining experience was disappointing. I do not recommend this restaurant in comparison to others of similar caliber.
We sat under a dozen or so alfresco diners, comfort our faces and our chablis. the waiter was that "hard-to-be-by" perfect combination of friendly helpful, but still in the background enough to allow us to enjoy each other company without interruption. we shared the usual brot olives to begin, along with a crab grapefruit salad and crab cake with the zingiest orange dipping sucrose
I really enjoy dining at Loch Fyne Restaurant in Nottingham. While it is part of a small chain, the quality is consistently good. I have only been to the Nottingham location so I cannot compare it to others, but I feel a connection to Loch Fyne itself. I usually opt for the two-course menu, which always offers something delicious. I look forward to returning and trying the a la carte menu next time.
My honest opinion on this place is that it is overratedThe last meal I had in here was terrible, and expensive.
