Restaurant bewertenWe had the 2nd birthday party of our little boy in the wheelbirks parlour.
We often visit Wheelbirks, it is my favorite place to go for a coffee with my baby to relax, especially by the fire in the cozy area. We go there every season, but my favorite is summer in the beautiful orchard where we can enjoy ice cream while the kids play in the garden and feed the donkeys, Hamish and Dougie. We have attended many events such as open farm days, Halloween hunts, and Santa's grotto where the kids received lovely gifts. The food is fresh, homemade, and delicious with plenty of options for the kids. Rain or shine, there is always something to do, including an indoor preschool area. The staff are accommodating and friendly, always helping me to my table with drinks when I have my hands full with my kids. The kids love choosing from the variety of homemade ice cream flavors. Whether we want coffee and cake or lunch, we are never disappointed. We always have a great family day out! On the way out, we always stop to look at the adorable jellycats for a little treat. My camera roll is filled with pictures from our fun days out at Wheelbirks.
I recently went to this restaurant with a friend to catch up and I was delighted by the atmosphere. We enjoyed a coffee in the cozy snug next to the fire, which was perfect on a cold day. I also treated myself to a scone, which the staff kindly warmed up for me. I will definitely be returning for another one soon. The staff were very welcoming and I also enjoyed browsing through the cowshed, especially their impressive jellycat collection. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a new spot to catch up with friends and family.
I discovered a charming gem of a restaurant! Our family of four enjoys exploring new dining spots, and we were delighted with the delicious food and amazing ice cream. The jersey milk ice cream was particularly outstanding. The staff were fantastic, very welcoming and with a great sense of humor. It was a bonus to see the jersey cows and my boys were thrilled to see the donkeys. We even purchased some fresh eggs. Overall, it was a wonderful visit and we will definitely return.
Decided to drive out for lunch today with our 18 month old. Were told there was a 40 minute wait for food which seemed strange as they weren't busy. When the food arrived (before 40 minutes fortunately) it definitely wasn't worth the drive over for. The loaded fries were ok but the bbq sauce tasted cheap. The frozen bought in burger was embarrassing looking and tasted revolting. The jacket potato was ok but no butter on or offered. No animals to see in the barn other than a few chickens and the donkeys in the field. We had ice cream afterwards. All flavours tasted the same and all of those were bland. Was a very disappointing visit and sadly we will not be returning.
