Daisy...Sandwiches & Such

I had to drop off my car this morning and was heading back to Marine Drive when I spotted Daisy's sandwich advertising board, so I decided to investigate! What a great find especially for someone new to the north shore. I had the Eggs Benny special - candied bacon, avocado pear topped with poached eggs and a hollandaise sauce, nestling on a toasted English muffin. It certainly hit the spot and the little side of baked beans was a nice touch. All washed down with good coffee that I enjoyed with my complimentary miniature muffin. Everything was served fresh and hot! Unpretentious honest food at reasonable prices always makes me happy - I love supporting owner run businesses, especially when you can feel their love not only for the industry they are part of, but also for the people they serve and they deserve to be supported. The staff was friendly and professional and I left feeling pleased that I had found Daisy's.

Tucked away in a light industrial/office neighbourhood, it's easy to miss Daisy's, but totally worth finding. Lots of variety on the menu, super-friendly staff, cute and cosy space (with some outdoor seating as well).Soups are especially good, but sandwiches are excellent as well. Definitely will be back to try more!

Daisy is a cute place where the locals go.Nothing fancy, you have to order at the counter and bring a number to your table. I asked about GF options(you have to ask) and was told they can make GF french toast .It was delicious .You can also ask for GF toast with your eggs. They also have almond milk . The service is always friendly and efficient.Refill of coffee comes without asking.Be aware that they are closed on Sunday!Have never been for lunch yet but believe it will be equally good.We will be back...

Daisy is a quaint and warm little place with great food, friendly staff and fantastic jazz music in the background. A haunt for the locals. And worth a visit if you are in the 'hood.

You just cannot go wrong here, never had a lunch or a breakfast that I would not have again and again. The beef dip is the very best for me, with a soup and a sandwich next best. You pick whatever flavour you want and it will be good!
