Restaurant bewertenWe visit seashells the other week to buy some food to take down to St mary's to eat. To cut a long story short the seagulls were not even keen to eat the chips that I threw out onto the ground. I'm sorry to say that they were horrible. You would think that the cooking oil must not have been changed in a while and the food tasted of burnt oil. Normally my trip advisor reviews are lovely but I'm sad to say not for this occasion I didn't have time to drive back from St Mary's to complain in person which would have been the best option. In the past, Seashells was a great chippy. It was one of my regular haunts when I was a bit more local. I have no idea if ownership has changed or what, but I won't ever be going back. Please take these comments as an opportunity to pull your socks up and change things back to the good old days when the shop was one of the best in the area. Not one of the worst which it is today. For me a waste of time and money!
We had a couple of drinks in our local, and thought ..Let's get Fish and Chips, and go home to our garden, there's salad in7 the fridge, and enjoy the lovely sunny evening. ....Do we never learn???? Got our fish and chips and home to our garden... I don't know when our fish had been cooked..most certainly not recently!!! Batter was soggy. Fish was just slimy!!! turned into mush when touched with a knife.. So so mushy .The chips!! even older!!! ****** things had more black spots than I have Iiver spots!!!! ...Never Ever Again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
