My Shanghai At The Cannon Inn

Went for a late lunch with friends. The food had obviously been standing a long time and was far from fresh. It was all dried up. The beef in black bean sauce had no sauce and I was unable to get my teeth into the beef it was so tough. The spring rolls were so hard I could not eat them either. There was a selection of rices all of which were dried up and in a solid mass. The restaurant itself is very pleasant and the staff were friendly but sadly the food was very disappointing. Will not recommend and definitely will not be back.

I made a reservation for my granddaughter's birthday at this restaurant for a party of 10 people. When we arrived, we were informed that our table had not been reserved and we would have to wait an hour for a table. The staff showed no concern and refused to contact the manager. The customer service was appalling and it is clear that this restaurant has significantly declined in quality.

I recently had the all-you-can-eat dinner at this restaurant and was pleasantly surprised by the variety of options available. The food was excellent and scrumptious, and I enjoyed everything I tried. The dessert selection was especially impressive, with choices like apple crumble and custard. The waitstaff was very friendly and accommodating, making the experience even better. Overall, it was great value for money and I will definitely be returning in the future.

The food was absolutely revolting and the restaurant appeared unhygienic, filthy, and unsanitary. The plates and tables were dirty, and I felt nauseous after eating just one small portion of food.

Great selection. Food was good, better than I remember when I was here a few years ago. The crispy chicken balls were fantastic.
