China Cafe Lakeline - North Browning

China cafe used to be reliable and consistent, but it has been in decline. After today, I will never eat here again. The sesame chicken in the picture was 1/4 chicken and 3/4 fried mushy bread. It was absolutely disgusting! I was using a fork and knife to try and find the chicken inside by pulling the bread away.

This place is awful. Literally awful. They charge so much for awful quality food. Granted, they give you a lot, but I’m sure it’s because the food is so cheap to get, and then they charge you a fortune for it. I ordered sesame chicken with noodles. They up charged me $5.50 to get me a side of lo mein instead of steamed rice. The noodles taste expired and left a bad taste in my mouth. The sesame chicken is so caked in a bland sauce that it is extremely rubbery and soggy. I found a couple of pieces with large chunks of bone. My husband ordered the combination fried rice, and it was extremely dry and tasted strongly of vinegar. None of it was good and we paid almost $40 for all of it. Do yourself a favor and go to Snow Pea they have yummy, crispy chicken and great noodles! We only tried this place because of the good reviews, but now we know better.

This place is good food. Sad to see it was not very busy tonite prior to July 4th. But I have been coming here for years. They let you tailor your food, meaning, I love black bean sauce, and you can ask about the vegetables in one dish but then change the sauce. Din Ho, which I love, but will not go to again, will not change their dishes. Sorry, but in today's world doesn't cut it for me. I really like China Cafe. I hope it gets more customers as their food is really good

This is so good it's addictive the price is well worth the meal this is definitely one of my favorite Chinese food spots ever

I’ve been going to China Cafe for 27 years. One of the things I love most is the hot and sour soup. Today I stopped by to pick up lunch for my family and a beautiful Filipina lady named Mary Ann took care of my order. My husband is Filipino so when we go there he tells her hello and goodbye in Filipino. The egg rolls were exceptionally good today. They tasted like they were homemade. The last time we ate there they tasted like they were frozen egg rolls. We will continue to come back because we love this place!
