Tj's Sports Tavern - Norfolk

Just placed my 1st order 2 go at location. It's fairly close to the Newport News Shipyard. I initially wanted the 20oz T-Bone Steak dinner with a Delmonico Steak dinner but they were out of the 22oz T-Bone. So I ordered 2 Delmonico Steak dinners, medium-well, with Steak Fries and house salad with ranch. The wife ate the other Steak Dinner before I could get a pic and said it tasted home-cooked and well seasoned cooked to a medium-well temperature.

Good bar food, friendly staff, and always a nice environment.

Its remodeled and still a decent place to grab a convenient drink. UPDATE it WAS a decent place until I go in last friday and was racially profiled,harrased,and disrespected UPON ENTRY! Bartender was trashy and unprofessional.i wascshocked at the way she spoke to me accused me of being w a group a people I've never seen in my life.even after explaining that I didnt know them she continued to threaten me and become more rude.still wondering why she never approached the group of people she had the problem with in the first place.but I was pretty n black enough for her to b highly bothered so I ended up just walking out after cleaning off her countertops.

I used to like coming to this spot for a beer and pool but this place has gone DOWNHILL. Last time I went my friend and I had a horrible experience. The male staff member, possibly the manager told my friend they couldn 't have their beer bottle on the pool table. My friend moved the beer Bottle and said I didn 't know, there are no signs posted that states that rule . The staff then told my friend that he needed to apologize or get out . There was no need to apologize for anything because the bottle was immediately moved. The staff member was on a power trip. My friend asked him to leave us alone since the bottle was moved and he wasn 't going to apologize. The staff member told us both to leave, refunded half of our money, AND called the police on us because we weren 't drinking our beer fast enough after asking us to leave. A beer we paid for. Also,Because we didn 't apologize for doing any wrong. We were not intoxicated. This all happened within 10mim of arrival. Worst customer service experience in my life. Will NEVER go back. The place was already dead on a Saturday night with maybe 5-8patrons. I don 't even know how they stay open treating the few locals who support them like that.

Did not like the people's attitude very rude and the food tasted pre-packaged I do not recommend.
