Carolina Cupcakery - Norfolk

These cupcakes are exactly what I think when I think about cupcakes: a perfect cake for frost ratio; moist, tasteful cake; and perfectly sweet, creamy frosting. I bake vegan cupcakes and have tasted various other vegan cupcakes from bakeries around the land, no one comes close to these - not even mine. Therefore, when I visit norfolk, I will get a cupcake at carolina! Note: sometimes the put on are a bit slow but give them a minute. they are nice people.

I was walking through this strip and these cupcakes caught my eye in my peripheral vision and i had had to make a b-line for this counter. I stopped and bought a strawberry cupcake and saved in until I was back in my hotel later. It was the perfect moist snack of deliciousness. I will for sure make a stop there the next time I am in town to try other flavors. The only bad thing I can say is I only had one

Whenever I am at Waterside I typically pop in and get my favorite not too sweet but just right cupcake I Do, an almond flavored cake that just cures my sweet tooth. Came out for the war of the Wings event but had to show some love to a few other spots. The worker was very helpful, as I inquired do they also do Birthday cakes and she informed me that they do at their Battlefield Cupcakery location in Chesapeake. Cupcake was a welcome reprieve from my wings buffet and tasted delicious.

They offer vegan cupcakes which are kept in the fridge behind the counter. Cupcake was dense with a sweet frosting. Slight discount if you pay cash.

I bought hot chocolate with 2% milk. When I tried it, the milk tasted off. After a few sips, I took off the top and turns out the milk was expired and had little chunks inside. I was given expired milk and my stomach feels sick :
