Tallboys Grill - Norfolk-Treherne

We were in a nearby town for provincials and came here for lunch twice. The first time I came with two of the girls from the team. The service was great, my food was ok (chicken burger - bun was too large for the chicken and it was a bit overdone, dried out), the girls' food was very good (kids pizza and caesar salad). Unfortunately, there was a hair in both the girls' salads. Whenever that's happened at a restaurant before, that person's meal has always been free - in this case we were only offered a 10% discount. The second time we came with several members of the team and parents - a group of 8 adults and 8 girls. All the food we ordered was delicious. Unfortunately there were some mixups and several delays. Our food all came at different times, which was just fine because we got there and ordered at different times. One of the mom's had ordered a salad that came with chicken, but it didn't come with any one it. Another mom had ordered her salad without extra chicken, but got the extra chicken. She had also ordered soup, but that never came. One of the moms and her daughter had both ordered gluten free fries with their burgers, but the fries never came. My daughter didn't get her food until an hour after we'd ordered, and I never got a refill I had asked for. I asked for a discount because my daughter had to eat in about 5 minutes before we had to leave for the next game - again was offered 10% (when a similar incident happened at Boston Pizza recently, they gave her the meal free). The server had indicated that there were two new staff members in the kitchen and they had had several large parties. I can totally understand that. And it's normal for mistakes to happen. But generally, when they do, most other establishments offer better discounts in order to compensate for the mistakes and inconvenience. That said, the girls had a great time. They played music on the juke box and danced on the dance floor while waiting for their food. And the restaurant itself is beautiful and has lots of great windows to enjoy the view.We were impressed with their gluten free options for some members of our group, as well as the fact that they use different oil to fry their fish products which was important due to a fish allergy in our group.

Treherne location:Kept waiting for 45 mins for food after being told 30 mins in they had lost our order. Second drink ordered (because we were waiting so long) did not come. Again, almost when food was eaten they came again and said now drink order had been forgotten. So I cancelled and asked for the bill. Bill did not come so went to till to pay......only for them to try to charge us for 2 beers and 2 liquor!! Disgusted to say the least!! Will not be back. We have been to the st Claude location many times and always happy with the food and service. So very disappointing after such a long drive especially for that....to celebrate Mother's Day too!!!!!!!

Beautiful setting. Operated by interested owners. Great addition to Treherne. Pizza and beer are wonderful.

We went as a large group of 11 on a Sunday, at the end of Sept. Had a great experience! Friendly staff, great food, and nice atmosphere. The menu has a huge variety of items and meals to choose from.

The food was really good and had great service. It is worth stopping for. They have really good poutines and also have a 20 dollar poutine that if you eat in 30 min. its free.
