Restaurant bewertenDisgusting with pieces of raw onion; a very unpleasant, slimy experience. It's a shame because I usually enjoy Greggs' items.
I stopped by for a quick lunch on my way to a training afternoon and ordered a vegan sausage roll from Gregg's. I've had them before and know they're usually delicious. However, when I received my order, it was cold even though it had been in the heated display shelf. I asked the server if it could be heated, but he simply refused without any explanation or even a smile. I ended up eating it cold in my car and it wasn't very enjoyable - they definitely taste better when they're hot.
I have visited several Greggs outlets in the past and found that they are pretty consistent. They offer affordable prices, but if you prefer your food hot, make sure to inquire about how long their sausage rolls and steak bites have been sitting out (I believe it is due to the lack of VAT). Overall, their food typically tastes decent.
I ordered hot food and coffee, and the young untrained server bagged the food and and informed me it was cold. I asked if he could reheat it, and he said they 're not allowed to. OK, if those are the rules, I can accept that. I declined the now cold food as it was not what I had ordered, and he said so just the coffee then? I said I didn 't particularly want the coffee now, given that I had ordered hot food and coffee, and the hot food was unavailable. His colleague plonked a cup of coffee on the counter and said abruptly that 's £1.80 . There was no indication of when the hot food would be replenished, no acknowledgement that my order was incomplete and therefore unwanted. And most importantly no courtesy. The two staff gave the impression they don 't like dealing with customers, and with that attitude maybe they won 't have to much longer.
Due to spinal iniury housebound so ordered breakfast ad so glad I did, had bacon sausage baguette, triple choc muffin 2 Cappuccino, all excellent and delivered in good time by helpful driver.
