Restaurant bewertenThe sushi was delicious and they were very respectful of my food allergies. Not pictured but we also got the eel rice plate and the chicken udon, which we all enjoyed! Servings were very generous and all the employees were friendly and accommodating.
This was some of the best sushi I’ve had! The fish for the nigiri sushi was very fresh and tasty. The couple running the show are very nice and it seems that all the dishes are made with the utmost care and attention. Will definitely go again!
Dined here on a Sunday night around 7pm. Two other families wrapped up before our food came and nobody else entered the restaurant after that, so we were the only ones sitting there for the majority of the time. The place has a cozy atmosphere with Japanese language books in the entrance and lots of traditional paintings, although admittedly it felt pretty dead for a weekend night (this seemed to be an issue with the entire block, which are the furthest businesses west before the I-90 entrance/exit ramps). There were dirty dishes and receipts on the tables when we entered, but the restaurant was highly understaffed (only one guy working there) so this can be excused. The food took a while because of this but it was excellent, with medium-large portions and pricing in line with other Japanese restaurants in the area. Would definitely come back on a Fri/Sat night, and wish there were more employees! Parking: There are a few spots directly in front of the restaurant, although they are shared with the other businesses on the same block. If those spots are occupied (and this hasn't been an issue so far), there is plenty of parking nearby.
Ito is the very best. He is so kind, funny and takes great pride in his work. The sushi is always fresh and his prices are very reasonable. His presentation is wonderful. Don’t miss this experience.
I graduated from Newton North in 1996. Now I am back in Tokyo. Shogun serves real Sushi and I enjoyed time to time. It’s not a fake SUSHI.
