Restaurant bewertenVery nice. eating was fantastic. I had the bison and they were great for my milk allergy. our server, christina, was wonderful. perfectly attentive. they go there in a way they have a chance.
I was here on Fri night with live music playing so it was very busy and noisy. The music was wonderful but was barely audible above the crowd’s noisy chatter. I can imagine the place to be much more enjoyable and romantic on a quieter night. The food is fabulous and you can order wine flights if you like to pair specific wines to each course.
We’ve driven by this restaurant many times, and finally decided to make a reservation. What a fantastic experience! Their outdoor dining area was spectacular, and warm with heat lamps and a fireplace. The view was amazing. We enjoyed their Caesar salad, shrimp and scallops, and wild game of the night. Their shrimp and scallops entree is definitely small, so plan on ordering a starter/dessert if you’re hungry. Everything was so good, we couldn’t resist sharing a dessert of the bread pudding. I do wish we’d tried the chocolate dessert instead, as it wasn’t my favorite. Our server was excellent and so nice, making us want to stay longer.
Our server had a great personality but not attentive, my wife ordered a coffee but it came out cold, we ordered the YG pizza (appetizer) and it also was cold though it tasted fantastic. My wife had the short ribs and it was absolutely fantastic, I had the 8oz fillet medium well and it was so so, seasoning was mediocre. Probably the worst part is it was our Anniversary and they knew it was our Anniversary but there was no acknowledgment after we sat down or the rest of stay. $35 corkage fee, better to order a bottle while your there. The ambiance was amazing for sure which is the best part. A few family members suggested we go to this place so I'm sure everyone's experience will be different but for my wife I definitely a one time deal.
I usually enjoy the Winery because one of my favorite guitarists plays there on a regular basis. However, my latest experience was incredibly unpleasant due to the host/manager on duty on Friday, February 25th, 2022. I entered, asked for a high-top table near where Jay, the guitarist, was playing. They were able to accommodate me but said they had to first check me in When I asked them what that means, they required me to provide some personal information in order to be seated. I have never been asked this of any restaurant on the planet. So I thought it was unnecessary and did not provide it. Right after I refused, the manager walked up to me in a threatening manner, accused me of being hostile, and threatened to kick me out. I had been at the Winery previously and have many friends who go there. I stated this to the manager, who said only that I was one person that night and so that losing my business was irrelevant to him. I've never been treated this rudely in any restaurant, including the Winery. I sat down and enjoyed the evening, though it was badly tainted by the experience with this manager before I even sat down. I sincerely hope that he is asked to tone down his power-hungry attitude lest he cause the loss of other loyal customers.
