Restaurant bewertenThis was my first meal after a long break due to COVID, and I couldn't be happier! I give the new breakfast options at @pinosrestaurant a perfect 10/10! The menu is impressive, the food is absolutely delicious, and the staff is very friendly. I'm really grateful for another fantastic place to enjoy a quality vegan breakfast!
I realized it was a vegan restaurant when I arrived, which was a surprise since I'm not vegan, but I do enjoy vegetarian and vegan meals. My partner and I shared the gnocchi with faux sauce and the charred corn, chili, and basil pasta. I thought the gnocchi was fantastic, while the corn dish was decent, although I was happy to try something new. I can see why some critics mention that the food is a bit on the salty side, but personally, I found it to be just the right amount of salt! We also had the Panna Cotta for dessert, and I absolutely loved it. The service was excellent; our waiter was lovely and helped us choose a fantastic wine while answering any questions we had. I really liked the ambiance; the restaurant has a charming and interesting decor, although it can get a little noisy since it's quite small. Still, I was able to hold a normal-volume conversation with my partner without any issues. I imagine it would be a different experience with a larger group. I visited Newcastle on a trip and would definitely return if I have the chance.
My friend Vanessa and I had a wonderful meal at Pinos on Saturday, July 9th. We were truly impressed by the beautiful vegan cuisine, generous portion sizes, inviting atmosphere, and attentive staff. Erin, who guided us through the menu, was exceptional and had a lovely, professional demeanor. We will definitely be returning and highly recommend this place to everyone, whether you're vegan, vegetarian, or a meat lover; your senses will be delighted!
Pinos has amazing food to treat your meat loving spouse to a vegetarian/vegan feast that he/she will LOVE and even want to come back for more. Rich and flavoursome mains even without the meat. Also open late. Also good local wines. Not a bit of food leftover. We left full and happy and will return.
We found the level of table service was just right, yet when considering the approximately time involved to prepare a pasta dish, the value or volume for money was just not there. The deserts was just delicious and the wine list was quite extensive for a little restaurant. It would be recommended that you book especially if there time is around 7-8pm on a weekend. Weekend street parking can be challenging so you should plan ahead spending time to find a park.
