Restaurant bewertenLast minute decision to return to this lovely pub on a Monday evening for dinner having not eaten here for a few years. The new management and staff (Gary Lindsay) were very welcoming and friendly providing great service throughout our visit. Menu is extensive. We loved the fish chips and steak pie. Pleasant ambiance albeit pub was quiet due to miserable weather Monday eve. Great value for money..and just a surprisingly special evening that was last minute, quick meal original plan. We will definitely return to this very hospitable and friendly pub. Highly recommended having eaten at most local pubs in the area.
From the moment we walked in, we had amazing friendly service We ate in the restaurant food was delicious generous sizes and fast service. Had a wonderful night made even better by the staff Nothing was too much I’d highly recommend this wonderful pub I’ll definitely be back
Nothing is too much trouble. We enjoyed a fantastic meal and the service was second to none. Looking forward to our next visit.
Excellent lunch menu. Great food, wonderful beers and friendly staff. It was without doubt our best lunch of the year! Our pies were tasty, our chips perfect and mushy peas in a class of their own. My wife's liver and onions were superb. Reasonable price around £100 for four with drinks pudding and tea!! We'll be back later in the year. Thanks
Friday night meal for 3. It has been a while since we have eaten at the Old Ship. On the evidence of the food it won’t be too long before we visit again. Fantastic food, excellent beer that puts some other pubs in the village to shame and a warm and friendly welcome from all members of staff. Looking forward to our next visit
