Sakagura - New York

The food and sake at this restaurant are absolutely fantastic.

We live 100 miles away from NYC and make a special trip at least twice a year to dine at Sakagura. The food is exceptional and the menu options are unlike any other. The sake choices are the best. I enjoy that this restaurant is a hidden gem and have no issue with booking my reservations far in advance. I will definitely be returning again and again!

The bar service was lacking attention and unhelpful when it came to selecting sake (surprising considering the wide variety available).

Not as great as I have expected based on the raving reviews. The best was the sea urchin noodle. Stay away from the specials which were mediocre and over priced. Stay with the classics.
