Venezia L I Restaurant II

No one greeted us upon entry and there was a since of 'what are they doing here ' from the patrons eating there with the stares we received. Nevertheless we found seating at the bar and the food and wine was awesome. There was an older gentleman sitting next to us and he talked to us most of our stay. He was very nice, he said he came there often and always sits at the bar. He mentioned he had everything on the menu except the Veal Pontchartrain which is what my girlfriend was eating lol. Overall we had a good experience and we will most likely return.

We were on vacation in New Orleans and some friends had recommended this Italian restaurant. So we went. As soon as we were seated we noticed the variety of foods in the menu and the interior of the restaurant was visually attractive. After some time we decided to order some appetizers. We ordered the fried calamari and it was exquisite and very fresh! The garlic bread was perfectly toasted to a crunch, and for the main, I ordered some lasagna. The rest of my family had the special pizza and shrimp marinara. Overall a great experience and whenever we have another opportunity we would love to come back.

Gil was such an awesome bartender Rob the manager was also nice and friendly! First time and I must admit I enjoyed. Will be back soon ! Stuffed mushrooms was the best I had

I ordered take out from here.....2 pepperoni pizzas. And it was just as delicious as I remembered. The first time I've been here in almost a decade, and it's just as damned delicious. While waiting for my pizzas I scanned the menu, and OMG the prices are amazing. And the smells of the food being prepared in the kitchen was just making my mouth water. Very much highly recommend anytime you're in the area and in the mood for true Italian food, give this place a visit. You will not be disappointed!!!!!

Had a ridiculously difficult time deciding on what to eat as the people I was with had been there before and gave me far too many recommendations. But I went with the New York Strip (on a sizzling plate no less) and was glad I did. Very good sized steak, cooked perfectly, with a lovely side of pasta. Everyone was very nice. It was for a birthday and they chilled the bottle of champagne we brought and even let us bring in desserts we bought next door. Highly recommend.
