Nola Cantina - New Orleans

In general, we were not very impressed with our experience at this restaurant. We encountered service issues, as it took a long time for a server to come to our table and we had to get a manager involved to address the delay in receiving our drinks. Our waitress seemed to have some personal issues and was replaced by a new server. The food was average, as the pork dishes we ordered lacked flavor. The manager was apologetic and attentive, offering to comp our first round of drinks. However, our drinks were still on the bill and we had to remind them to remove the cost. This review is meant to provide constructive feedback, highlighting some areas for improvement. Despite our experience, this restaurant has a great location and potential for improvement. It is important to leave an honest review so others can have a better idea of what to expect. Our experience may not be the norm, and others may have a better experience dining here.

Starting with being left waiting to be seated, then being overlooked by the female manager who attended to the group behind us, the experience did not improve once we were finally seated. After waiting 10 minutes to order, we found that only tacos were available despite it being 7:30 PM. The strawberry margaritas tasted like salt water with a hint of strawberry syrup, and the mango margarita was not worth finishing. The guacamole was overly spicy with peppers and lacked any other flavor. The chicken taco was bland and tasteless. This was hands down the worst dining experience I have ever had, and cinco de Mayo had nothing to do with it.

Food was great, wonderful patio, great addition to Frenchmen Street

The food was out of this world! Fried beans and rice so authentic. Service impeccable. Amani, our sever was courteous and helpful in her recommendations of what was on the menu. Highly recommend! Patio area is gorgeous!

The food was good but the chips were disappointing, they were hard and huge in size. The service was outstanding! We would try it again. Wish they would change the chips!!
