Emerald Gardens @ Wests New Lambton

A very good experience with my family. Ambiente was very good, decor was quiet and cozy, service was excellent, food was really good. Beautiful choice of cutlery for serving and on the table. I ordered Malaysian cuisine and must say that this is the nearest Malaysian cuisine I have tasted so far in Australia. Not many Malaysian dishes. Each dish was unique with taste and texture and presentation. Portions very large and sufficient. Everything in my family enjoyed it. The price was another guest. For the feeling, quality of food, experience and service it was definitely low.. Have paid much more for lousy food and quality elsewhere. I wait to go back and try the other dishes. Surely one of my favorites in Newcastle. Surprised to know about this restaurant of my daughter because they visited a school visit. You need more advertising for people to enjoy the good food.

I think it would be difficult if a Chinese restaurant like this existed in Newcastle without the support somewhere like Wests? In any case, the deluxe roasted rice is a meal in itself. Any of the house specialties are good, but one of my favorite dishes that they seem to have taken out of the menu? I think it was called spring chicken, it was a szechwan dish and actually had a note on the menu saying that it was very different. I like Asian food and had many different dishes, but never something like that. It is not hot like chili, but is very spicy and has Szechuan pepper oil in it that gives you an experience like nothing else.

Fantastic restaurant, we go there often as the good is reasonably priced, great range, large dishes and always tastes great. The staff there are excellent and go to out of their way to make sure you are enjoying yourself and do everything they can to assist. We even brought our own cake there for a birthday and they couldn't be happier to serve it and make the evening special. I highly recommend the restaurant, the Mongolian Beef, honey chicken, satay chicken and special fried rice are my top picks! Great place for the whole family! We went there tonight with an 18 month old and the staff were all very friendly and accommodating to children, yes they have high chairs.
