The Wee Train - New Cumnock

This charming café, located in the beautifully restored New Cumnock station building, is a delightful spot to visit. Open most days, it offers a selection of light meals, drinks, and excellent homemade baked goods. It’s a favorite among both travelers and locals alike, making it a great place to grab refreshments before catching a train; particularly since the Kilmarnock to Carlisle service does not provide a trolley service. Additionally, the café focuses on training young people in catering skills, which is reflected in its name.

I went there for lunch and had a ham and cheese panini. The food was delicious, the staff was friendly, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. I will definitely visit again.

This is a fantastic little spot in the city. The food is reasonably priced and perfect for a bite after a walk or a quick lunch on the go. The staff were lovely and friendly.
