Blanco - Navia

The array of choices on the menu is very wide. This is a fine dining experience. However, I was fortunate that on my dinner visit the economy menu was available; this still had at least three choices per course; I opted for two courses for just over 20 Euro with wine outstanding value. My Asturian beef was beautifully cooked exactly to my instructions. The service from the waiter was attentive, despite a large party arriving at the same time, conversational and unfussy. I was staying at the hotel at the end of a long trip, so did not mind the out of town location. I had been doing so much travelling, I only knew I should eat something, not whether I was hungry or not that soon changed.

This was third year in the row I've trevelled to Asturia region. Blanco hotel was recommended by local people and Blanco restaurant was a great discovery for me superb quality of food, fresheness and a lot of sea fruits. Absolulety fantastic so I was already happy in advance to have dinner there. Quality is still the case but I was disappionted that my favourite dish is not in the menu any more fried big St. Jacob mussels. I've chosen Asturia style St. Jacobs mussels with white wine and they were good. I didn't enjoy croquettas.

This very modern hotel is up a steep hill on the outskirts of Navia town.Good location quiet and rural,do not attempt to walk into the town It is a Kilometre plus and returning is worse going up hill. As for the hotel itself,a very warm welcome by reception, rooms are accessed by a lift and are very modern by design we looked out over the swimming pool small but good also a suntrap on a good day. The morning restaurant was quite large and friendly and in the evening the al a carte was in use. the hotel also has a cafe for snacks and drinks during the day bearing in mind this hotel also has a spa facility The menu's are varied and well presented English can be a problem at times but staff do their best to accommodate. There are many places to visit good walks and a large supermarket we were not to impressed by the beaches nearby as they are of fine grit rather than sand

Por otro lado, el desayuno muy rico y variado Noteworthy details: Cogimos un pack con detalle de bienvenida y spa.
