Restaurant bewertenMy wife and I splashed and had dinner at this beautiful Antebellum site. It's a bit like in time. Start with a cocktail in the bar. Ask George. He is a wonderful waiter, fast on his feet, knowledgeable, and he has a wonderful personality. Recognize that you will pay a bit more than most places, but you will not only get a meal: you will get a timeless experience. My wife had the Lamb Lollipops and shaved around her. My file Mignon was excellent. The warm pecan pie was decadent, although it could have less syrup filling and more pecans LOL! There is a light willingness in the bar, but keep it part of the cost to go back in time! I had a Manhattan and others in the bar had the classic Mint Julep. Everyone seemed to have a nice time.
Just visited Restaurant 1818 over Thanksgiving weekend and loved it! Beautiful historic property is worth the visit alone, but we so enjoyed our delicious meal and friendly engaging service from George. We ordered fried green tomatoes, lamb chops, filet, bread pudding, and pecan pie and highly recommend every dish. Already planning our next visit!
Make a reservation and enjoy. We were immediately greeted and sitting at the door. Our waiter was great. He and another waiter often checked us. A single candle was illuminated to improve the atmosphere as it was our anniversary. The food was very delicious. We shared an appetizer from Gumbo. My wife had chicken with angel hair pasta and I had the grilled pork chop with lubricated sweet potatoes and crowned greens. Finally we shared a portion of homemade white chocolate bread pudding with caramel pecan topping. Best bread pudding ever! The experience and service were excellent and our best dinner during our visit. We will definitely return.
That's a great restaurant. The woman had the rib and absolutely loved her. I had the duck and it was amazing. Dai was our server and he took care of all our needs to speak beautifully. I recommend you try this at least once when you are in the area.
