Restaurant bewertenI visited a friend in Oakland Veteran's day weekend. On Sunday we went to Napa, tasted some wine and went to Cole?s for dinner. The ambience was beautiful, the service was good. The sides were delicious, but my steak was terrible. I ordered my steak medium well, with little pink, so basically good. Now many of you would say that it's my fault to order a good steak, and that's where I would have to object! I'll arrange all my steaks well. They are still delicate and juicy and tasty! I can't cook steak, I tried, but I just can't? difficult for me and they always get out hard, so I don't cook. Steak tasted like I cooked it. I actually left Steak on the plate because it took too much energy to chew. I want to give them a higher score, but it's a steak house and what I'm rating.
I was lucky to eat here a few times and every time was an amazing, unique experience! The food is delicious and the ambience is a great mix of the old world and modern. Make a reservation and enjoy. My last meal was the Filet Surf and Turf, you can't really go wrong if that's special.
My steak was perfectly cooked and seasoned for perfection. The oysters were out when this world and the truffles were bombs. Our server was so attentive and knowledge. Very recommended.
Coles Chop House was definitely worth it. Our service was fantastic, the atmosphere was very clean and elegant. The rolls and butter were amazing to start dinner. We ordered the Halibut Ceviche, which was delicious, and we ordered the Porterhouse Steak already cut (medium cooked) that was absolutely perfect! For our pages we had potatoes, spinach and also a kind of mushroom dish that were all good. For dessert we had cream broil and a bread pudding plate that was the best bread pudding I ever had. What is also great at Cole's is the location, you are in the heart of downtown, which is close to all waking distance.
This was our first time visiting Cole?s Chop House while in Napa and it did not disappoint! We were seating in the outdoor tent, which was set up perfectly. It was open feeling, but still warm with a heat lamp nearby. A ?Happy Anniversary? card was waiting for us as we arrived and our gracious server followed just after, wishing us the same. The service was fantastic, the atmosphere elegant but comfortable, and the steaks were delicious! We will definitely be back. (Oh, and make sure to order the puff pastry lobster bisque!
