Restaurant bewertenWe had a family get together dinner at the Island Restaurant at the Golf Club last Friday night and thoroughly enjoyed the food and the great views over the river as the sun set. The chef did an amazing job of getting 11 delicious meals out to us all in one go! The kingfish special and the fresh (not frozen) gold band snapper fish chips were a standout. Stone steak grill a winner too! Friendly staff, good range of options on the menu to suit pretty much every taste (some vego ones too) lovely outdoor deck. Thankyou!
Food was great although I was a little disappointed with the serving size. Only 7 small pieces of squid for mid teen range. It did come with lots of chips and salad both of which were fresh and tasty. I've had dinner here before and it was quite good value with nice fresh ingredients. Sitting out on the deck next to the river was a nice bonus.
Amazing food and a great view. The ribs and lamb shanks were divine, and loved the chocolate lava cake for dessert. Such friendly staff and great service, would definitely visit again!
Not from around town, looking for places and come across this gem on a Thursday night is steak night and there was one dish that caught my eye it was stone grilled steak and it was amazing!!! Shelley the waiter was happy to put though some as unfortunately to limited stock of stones you have to book in advance so definitely make sure you do that as you don't what to miss out on the beautiful steak and views of the water.
Had the Wednesday snitzel special. Snitzel was well crumbed and cooked. Had the Hawaiian which was good, chips were also good as well as the garlic bread.$18 can't go wrong and the views were great.
