Fonda's Taqueria, Westlands - Nairobi

For some context, I grew up in Phoenix and visit Mexico about once or twice a year. I even make my own tortillas (both corn and Sonoran flour), Mexican rice, and shredded beef at home because I find most Mexican food in DC to be subpar. While it may not be 100% authentic, the quality here surpasses that of most Mexican restaurants in the Washington DC area, which is quite impressive. You definitely won’t regret trying it!

I absolutely loved this place! It was my first time trying tacos, and I truly enjoyed them. I'm not sure if my hunger played a role, but I definitely want to go back and see if they're just as good as I remember. The fish tacos were particularly fantastic and I highly recommend them. You must also try the hibiscus tea—it's amazing! The ambiance of the restaurant adds to the experience, with a delightful Mexican vibe. They're located in Rosslyn Riviera, and I noticed they recently opened another location in Sarit Center. If you're looking for great Mexican food, make sure to check them out!

Great staff, delicious food, and a pleasant atmosphere for enjoying Mexican cuisine with a dear friend. It was a wonderful experience overall!
