Restaurant bewertenWhy dine indoors when you can do it outdoors just two meters from the eighth longest river in the world? That's exactly what the 'Mekong Restorants' in Chiang Saen offer. You'll only find these unique dining experiences during the last hour of the day. These aren't traditional restaurants, but rather food carts that set up carpets, tables, and chairs on their terrace just before sunset. All you have to do is sit down and enjoy the show. The visionary staff serve delicious curries that are worth every penny, despite being a bit pricier than typical cart fare (although still affordable for most Europeans). Dining while watching the Mekong River separate Thailand and Laos is an experience worth the price in my opinion. Who could resist?
