Restaurant bewertenAll products are excellent, and there are a few tables to grab a snack. Good for a lunch stop pies and pasties. Large range and all very good.
A small bakery-café in Mount Evelyn. I used to go here for bread, veggie pasties and delicious vanilla slices. On my last visit, however, I ordered 2 vegetable pasties to go. When I went to eat them later on in a park not far away, I discovered they were meat pasties (no I didn’t bite in – I always check first). It was no accident. The bloke who served me, who didn't look very bright, kept smirking at me strangely, and I didn’t understand why at the time. So I know it was deliberate. Funny joke, mate – give meat pasties to the vegetarian. I won't be back, and I've now told several hundred other people. That was good for business, wasn't it? The only positive is that the other staff there are friendly, helpful, and obviously are more mature. Perhaps they passed grade three.
I NEVER write reviews but felt this one was required. This bakery is the worst one I have ever been to! Staff are terrible and food is worse. I mentioned a food allergy and I was treated like I was a disease. I later found out they lied to me about safe options so they could get a sale not considering the risk they put my heath under. Food allergies are not a joke so be honest, if you don’t know what’s safe say that! Let the customer decide if they want to continue a purchase at their own risk not at the risk of terrible business owners. Do not make someone sick through pure stupidity. I will never return to this bakery and honestly would suggest others avoid it to. I have attempted to contact the bakery 4 times with no response, hence writing this review! Lack of response from Harry Bakery Mount Evelyn shows the type of business they are!
Great service and super coffee and cakes and pies and pastries. They also do great sandwiches. Great prices...top value. Highly recommended.
Nearly lunch visiting family in Mount Evelyn on a wedding day without having had any breakfast very hungry to say the least! While my wife gets coffees at a cafe I spot this bakery and go for my favourite pepper steak pie. I wouldn't say I'm a connoisseur but trust me, I'm not scared of a pie or three! I'm out on a limb a little but this was the best Pepper Steak Pie I have ever had had from a selection that, over the years, runs well into double figures. I won't go into technicalities as they they are very subjective but when I return I'm making a bee line for this pie! As for the establishment, it was full of warm country bakery feeling with many modern selections of pastries, breads and cakes. I can't remember if they sold coffee, I was a little too focused on the pie. The staff behind the counter were very friendly with convivial banter. I also can't remember the prices but it wasn't so expensive as to be unfavourably memorable. Can't wait to have that pie again.
