Restaurant bewertenWe enjoyed our stay at the Auberge de Motz so much that we returned there a week later. The rooms were spacious, clean, quiet and everything worked as you would wish. The breakfast served at the Motz was very good, the cheeses and meats were appreciated and Mme was generous with the coffee. The restaurant worked well for us, there is a very reasonably priced menu of the day, alternatively the à la carte menu provided delicious plates often with a little twist like herb stuffed ravioli. The standard of the restaurant is confirmed by the fact that many local people eat here. And, to put this all into context the staff and the host are welcoming and take care to ensure that you enjoy your stay. This is a small family run establishment to be enjoyed. The Auberge is in a great position with far ranging views over the Rhône valley, I only wish we had been there in the summer to sit out on the terrace with the olive trees. There are plenty of walks starting from the front door, both easy and more taxing. Lac de Bourget is only a few miles away, but we enjoyed the nearby interesting town of Seyssel bridging the Rhône. Would I recommend Auberge de Motz to friend and family…absolument!!
Perfect place for staying one night or a couple of nights and enjoy the French countryside. Very clean. Also the owner is very kind and helpful. We had dinner and breakfast there and the food was delicious.
Staying the night in the rooms we tried the restaurant. The food was well presented and tasty. My steak was huge and I had to share it with my partner who had the pork which was a much smaller portion. The young lady was very helpful with the translation and advise.
We had the menu for 25eu. It was excellent , the chicken with tarragon sauce was great, for starters my wife had buratini (real Italian version from napoli) ,I had salmon with roccata. It's not far from the lake, and beautiful hiking all around. The location is awesome, but quite a drive.
