Bistro TÔt Ou Tard - Montréal

One of my favourite brunch restaurants. I used to live around the corner from here and would go regularly; now that I live farther away, I still make the trek out every few weeks. Huge portions (their brunch plates come with all 3 breakfast meats) and everything is always very well-executed. I've never had a disappointing meal here. The craziest thing is that they also have a very large lunch/dinner menu, and they somehow manage to nail every single item on there too (based on what I've tried).The place can get busy on weekends with the brunch crowd, but the line usually moves quickly and the wait is well worth it. Very affordable too (one of the few restaurants that didn't raise their prices to exorbitant levels during COVID).

Had a bit of a tough time with parking. Instead of driving up and around, save yourself some time and park in the lot horizontally across from the restaurant. Paid parking, but better than driving around.Line up was long. At least we got to wait inside the building. Worth the wait though!Washrooms were decently clean.Staff were pleasant, except they were clearly very busy and forgot about us a few times until we had to flag them down a few more times.Overall, food was delicious. Portions were huge. Loved that we got fruit, choice of coffee or tea, and baguette with each dish. My only complaint is that I wish they look the skin off the fruits. At least that way, I know there isn’t dirty fruit skin touching the meat of the other fresh fruits.Find strawberry “jam”, and jiffy peanut butter on the table. No butter margarine for the baguette. The usual 10% cream and 2% milk also found on the table. We ordered coffee with almond milk which was served on the side.

I ordered smock salmon brunch and didn't like the taste, the portion size and the variety were great.

I went there to try something new for brunch. The atmosphere is great with a space and a patio outside. The food is good but the service is not. The place wasn't very crowded, but we waited to be seated (food was fast, tho), no coffee refill whatsoever, and we waited 45 min for our bill. It seemed the servers were all young and inexperienced. Maybe I can give it a second shot, but I doubt it. For the first time in my life, I gave a 10% tip to the waitress.
