L’Assiette au Boeuf - Montpellier

Having very little time for lunch, waiting for my train, I flew on this restaurant on rue de verdun. I wanted to avoid the throats and kebab, pseudo Thai and other nan cheese. So I opted for a spindle, a 9,90€ flageolets; in the dish of the day.Excellent ratio quality price.

Had dinner here twice during our local stay, food and drink was good, price was quite reasonable and the waitresses were swift and attentive to the right level. They have English menus on request.

Lucky to find the restaurant open on a Sunday. I had the "Authentique Menu" which included a good piece of beef and an excellent chocolate mousse. Regarding the latter I would say without much hesitation that it was the best chocolate mousse that I ever tasted, absolutely outstanding, and you can even ask for more, if you feel so. The restaurant is quite huge with a traditional French setting and very fast, efficient and friendly service.

Old estyle brasserie with good food at a reasonable price. Nothing special but good quality and good service.

We called here without reservation. The staff are welcoming and friendly. The service is very efficient. The food is good, well cooked and presented and reasonable priced. There is a set menu, if you wish, of 23.90 euros for 3 courses.
