L'and Vineyards - Montemor-o-Novo

Fantastic food with delicious taste combinations and experiences at an extremely affordable price. We had a couple of included amuse-bouches that were delicious followed by well sized and tasty main courses. Wine was also good at reasonable prices. Beautiful setting and would recommend for a beautiful dinner.

We were staying at the vineyard (different review) and dined at the restaurant twice, the first evening we had the lighter menu and the second evening we chose the chef’s menu, where the latter was quite much better, however a bit boring that some of the amuse were exactly the same for both menus. Sommelier was inattentive, poured uneven and was defensive to questions, it seemed he did not have that much knowledge about different grapes or regions, which was a bummer as we are extremely interested in wines and quite new to Portuguese wines, hence the questions and the big interest. Food was dry, bland and not what to expect at a restaurant awarded a star. However, the tuna tartar was phenomenal! The waiting staff were also uneven where one was professional and good with presentations as for the other ones, they were just as bad as when supposed to attend to guests in general (see my review of L’and vineyard). The restaurant is very expensive compared to other Michelin star awarded restaurants in Portugal, and one of the worst, which kind of says it all; chose another one as there are quite a few.

Food great, service excellent, experience up to the standard. Unfortunately they only have the tasting menu otherwise would have repeated!

Algumas novas introduções na ementa do chefe Miguel Laffan e a manutenção de alguns valores seguros. O prato do lavagante é bastante caro, mas vale a pena experimentar pelo menos uma vez. Absolutamente delicioso!

Restaurante inserido numa unidade hoteleira com o mesmo nome . Ambiente fantástico com uma janela enorme para o jardim. A comida foi uma viagem de sabores em transporte de luxo . Staff à altura e para culminar uma agradável surpresa de aniversário sem nós estarmos à espera.
