Cold Stone Creamery - Montclair

There food is good considering there isn’t many locations of them so it’s definitely worth it to go. They have a nice inside sit down area. The staff are really nice and good vibes. The place itself is good and nice interior design. Wish they would have an outdoor seating for the summer but it’s fine.

Mr family and I came here in the afternoon and bought a large family sized tub of birthday cake remix and it wasn’t properly mixed. When the employee realized she needed to add more ice cream after mixing the majority of it, she just added more cake batter on top to fill the container and didn’t bother adding the mix-ins or making sure it was blended together well the rest of the ice cream in the tub. We asked for one additional mix-in (yellow cake) but I were charged for 3 at the register and spent over $33 instead of $27 the cost of one mix-in. But for what I spent it would have been nice to have a properly mixed tub. This was the second time we came to this location and had plain ice cream added on top of the tub to fill it up. It took more than a minute or two for any of the 3 employees there to acknowledge us which was unusual, but my main issue lies with the lack of control given to my order. Between this location and the one in South Orange, I’d rather take a longer drive to South Orange given I’ve never had any issues with service there.

I had four different orders with four different coupons that I placed online.. once I arrived to pick my orders up the owner couldn’t understand why I had four coupons. I explained to him I received the coupons online and it allowed me to use them. He said I wasn’t allowed to do that meanwhile my orders went through perfectly fine. I ordered a ice cream cake for my mom birthday and 4 ice cream cups. He said I can only take two orders. Meanwhile I paid for four. He was trying to negotiate my orders that I already paid for. I told him just give me all my money back I don’t need to be treated this way over a coupon. He walked to the back then walked back up and said I can’t give you a refund because it said your credit card it fraudulent. So now I’m even more pissed now because you have to give me a refund my card is fraudulent but when I made the transaction the card was good. I paid with a major credit card that was very much real. He then told me he have my information he’ll refund me on Monday. Like I was gonna walk out of that store without a refund. Cops were called and refund was given. I will never return here again. It started over four coupons and ended with a fraud card.. shame on you cold stone!!! I don’t deal with fraud and never will. I’ma paying customer who did everything correctly. I’ma cold stone member with points.. I don’t know how I received four coupons but I did and used them properly!!! I will never recommend cold stone to anyone I know… shame on you!!!

The staff was nice and helpful, and the service was fast. We found a hair in our ice-cream before trying it, but when we told the staff, they quickly gave us a new one. The place doesn't have much seating, only around 10 to 12 people can sit together. The ice-cream is a bit expensive, but it's good quality. Just keep in mind that there's no free parking – you'll need to park on the roadside (paid) .

AMAZING ice cream. I love how many signature flavors they have, and all the different combinations you can get. They have a multitude of flavors to choose from, and loads of toppings to get as a stand-alone or mix and match! It’s cool seeing the staff making your order right in front of you. The staff is very kind and I always leave this establishment satisfied with the service and ice cream. I highly recommend!!The picture I posted alongside this review features my current favorite signature order: Apple Pie A La Cold Stone! I got to add some banana slices to it too. So so so good.
