Cougar Canyon Lodge Escape Lounge

We stayed in the cougar canyon lodge on our summer trip through montana. it was a week and a little late for lunch. we have patterned their bacon cheeseburger and pastrami on marmor rye. both were excellent, the pastrami on rye was world class. the cougar canyon lodge has a mountain hut vibe, but do not let this fool them, this place offers some stellar tariff for in such a remote part of the Montana wilderness. the service was friendly and attentive. when they make their way into the small belt mountain in montana, they do one please and stop them in cougar canyon lodge.

Stayed at CC twice recently. The new owner has seriously upgraded the place and I think is still doing so. Chef Doug has created some great dishes great steaks, even the hamburgers are very good. Don't know why the most recent review was from 2016, but it's way out of date and the ownership/management is all new. Definitely a place to check out.

We stayed there two years ago and have a really great time. The food was good even though the kitchen suffered from a lightning strike and while the 'breakfast ' is not going to be a full buffet, it was not bad. Small place served by a small staff with very personal service. We are headed back there again this summer!

If you don't try a bite while you're there, you're truly missing out! The owner and the staff were friendly and took the time for a nice chat, even though they were a bit short-staffed. I highly recommend this place!

The owner and staff were fantastic—extremely friendly and helpful. The food was the best I've had in a long time, and the prices reflect the quality well. While the hotel accommodations could use some updates, I was still comfortable during my stay. Thank you for a lovely weekend! Room rating: 3/5.
